We want your candles to arrive safely and fill your space with the scents of the Aegean. Here's everything you need to know about delivery, returns, and care.
Shipping Within Australia
All orders are carefully packed and dispatched from our studio within 1-3 business days.
- Standard Shipping: $9.95 flat rate (3-7 business days via Australia Post)
- Express Shipping: $14.95 (1-3 business days)
- Free Shipping: On orders over $100
You'll receive tracking information via email once your order ships. Peak holiday periods may extend delivery times slightly—we appreciate your patience.
Local Pickup: Based in the Illawarra? Select "Local Pickup" at checkout and we'll arrange a time for you to collect your candles directly. Follow us on Instagram for pop-up market dates where you can shop in person.
International Shipping
Currently, we ship within Australia only. We're working on bringing the scents of the Aegean to international shores—stay tuned.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love your candle. If something isn't right, we're here to help.
Damaged or Defective Items:
If your candle arrives damaged or has a defect (such as wick issues or inability to burn properly), contact us within 7 days of delivery. Send a photo to fourteenhundredscents@outlook.com and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.
Change of Mind:
We accept returns on unburned, unopened candles within 14 days of delivery. The candle must be in original condition with packaging intact. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.
We cannot accept returns on:
- Candles that have been lit or used
- Sale or discounted items (unless faulty)
- Custom or personalized orders
Note on Natural Wax: Small imperfections like frosting, slight colour variations, or minor surface texture are natural characteristics of coconut-soy wax and are not considered defects. These do not affect burn quality or scent.
How to Return an Item
- Email us at fourteenhundredscents@outlook.com with your order number and reason for return
- We'll respond within 2 business days with return instructions
- Pack your item securely and send it back to the address provided
- Once we receive and inspect the return, we'll process your refund within 5-7 business days
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow your bank 3-5 business days to process.
Lost or Stolen Packages
We're not responsible for packages marked as delivered by Australia Post. If your tracking shows delivery but you haven't received your order, please check with neighbours or building management first.
If your package is genuinely lost in transit (tracking hasn't updated in 10+ days), contact us and we'll work with Australia Post to investigate.
